Day 01. Arrive Paro (Altitude 2280 m) (By Druk Air flight): Your Guide from Make My Holidays in Bhutan will receive you at the airport and drive you to the Hotel.
Ta Dzong (built in1656 and renovated in 1968), Rimpung Dzong (literally meaning “Heap of Jewels”). Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 02. Paro – Thimphu (Altitude 2320 m, 54 km). After breakfast, Excursion to Taktsang Monastery.
After lunch, visit Kichu Lhakhang, built in 659 A, Drukgyal Dzong built in 1647, now in ruins, view Tamchog Monastery built by Thangthong Gyalpo (Popularly known as Lama Chazampa, which literally means, the Iron Bridge builder) in the 15th century.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 03. Thimphu Sightseeing: (Altitude 2320 m). After breakfast, visit National Memorial Chorten (1974), National Library, Painting School, Traditional Medicine, Royal silver smiths and Bhutanese paper factory at work, Tashichho Dzong, Handicrafts Emporium. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 04. Thimphu Sightseeing: (Altitude 2320 m). After breakfast, visit Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, Changangkha Lhakhang and Philatelic office, hike to Cheri Monastery and to the largest statue of sitting Buddha in the world. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 05. Thimphu – Punakha: (Altitude 1310 m) (76 Km, 3 hrs drive). Drive to Punakha. On the way stop in Dochula pass (3160 m) to view the higher Himalayas if the weather permits. Enroute visit Chimi Lhakhang dedicated to Divine Madman, 20 minutes’ walk from the road head. After lunch, visit Punakha Dzong built in 1637. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 06. Punakha – Gangtey: (Altitude 3120 m). After a sumptuous lunch, drive to the beautiful valley of Gangtey. Enroute visit to Wangdiphodrang Dzong from outside (now under construction), Gangtey Gompa Monastery, Phobjikha valley, famous for the Black Necked Cranes during winter. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 07. Gangtey – Trongsa – Bumthang: (Altitude 2800 m, Distance 188 km, Drive Time 6 hour drives.) After breakfast, drive to Trongsa and visit Trongsa Dzong, Ta Dzong (watch tower).
After Lunch, drive to Bumthang. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 08. Bumthang Sightseeing: (Altitude 2800 m.) Jakar Dzong, Jambay Lhakhang, built by King Srongsen Gampo of Tibet in the year 659, Kurjey Lhakhang built in 1652, Tamshing Lhakhang (Temple of the good message), established in, Membarstho which literally means, “The burning Lake”. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 09. Bumthang – Thimphu (210 km, 7 hrs)(Altitude 2320 m) Early breakfast, drive to Thimphu. Lunch will be served on the way. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 10. Thimphu – Paro: (Altitude 2320 m, Distance 54 km, Drive Time 1 hour): After breakfast, free for shopping and photography in the town/visit Handicraft emporium. After Lunch, drive to Paro. Visit a Farm House. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B, L, D).
Day 11. Departure: (Altitude 2280 m) Early morning, drive to Airport and Farewell. (B)
